Belly was growing for a while there, just making room I think, and getting used to all the bad food I started eating. :) Now, I'm in between normal clothes and maternity clothes..normal clothes too small, most maternity clothes are too big. Just can't win. ;) Figgy is the size of a avocado this week (head to rump)....next week, a turnip. What the heck is a turnip? Who thinks of these things? It still amazes me there is something that size in my stomach, moving around, and I can't feel it!
"They" say I should be able to feel it soon. Couple more weeks I think. I guess with 1st pregnancies you feel it later, only because you don't know what it is. It supposed to feel like a fluttering or gas bubbles. I prefer to think of it as fluttering....so does Mike.
I cannot wait to be able to feel the baby move and for my stomach to grow! Grow Figgy, grow!

It's...a baby!
The Ackermans are having a baby! Woo-hoo! Mom is 15 1/2 weeks today. Everyone in the Ackerman house is very excited, even Mikko (the two year old Akita), who will make a great big brother.
Yes, they are going to find out if Figgy is a boy or a girl, and yes, they have the names picked out. :) You are probably thinking "Figgy?", what the heck is a Figgy? Well, Mom is very into finding out weekly updates on the baby's progress. A few weeks ago, the baby was the size of a fig. Thanks to a creative friend, "it" became Figgy. This week, Figgy is the size of an apple.
Mom has had a few ultrasounds to make sure everything is going well. Figgy has a strong heartbeat, and is very active. They say Mom will be able to feel Figgy moving in a few more weeks.
There is another ultrasound June 20, and Figgy will get a real name!
Check back for more info!
